Geocaching on the CALC Preserves

What is Geocaching? Geocaching is a real world outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS enabled devices. Participants use GPS coordinates to navigate to a specific location posted on a geocaching website where they hope to find the treasure, a geocache or container. This geocache container may contain some trinket or just a log where you can sign to acknowledge that you found the location of this geocache. Oliver Preserve Trail Taking Shape

OLIVER PRESERVE TRAIL TAKING SHAPE Thanks to board member, Dan Valley, and the Career Tech Class of Mark Johnson at the Wexford Missaukee Intermediate School District, the trail at the Oliver Preserve is starting to take shape. In Remembrance – George Rock

In Remembrance of George Lee Rock  1925 - 2014 While we mourn the passing of George Rock, CALC’s Director Emeritus, we also celebrate his life—the life of a visionary. It was George’s vision of using a non-profit organization to preserve land that led to the formation of the Cadillac Area Land Conservancy. He educated us by bending our ears every chance he got! CALC Location a Winner

Have you seen the CALC office? We are in the Masonic Temple Building, above Atomic Closet (formerly The Apple Tree) on the corner of Mitchell and Beech Streets. The Clam Lake Masonic Lodge is very good to us. The lodge is part of the “oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world.
