Ed Richards, of E & S Construction, is working in the heat to bring CALC a wildlife viewing platform on Waldeck Island.
You can see how tall the structure is already and the roof is yet to come. The nice height should allow for good views.
The view from the platform overlooks our wonderful/protected wetland and its shrubby/wooded shoreline offering ideal habitat and viewing opportunities for a wide variety of wildlife including waterfowl, wading birds, songbirds, even the occasional eagle.
We plan to enhance the habitat by adding nesting islands and loafing sites for waterfowl and other wetland wildlife.
None of this would have been possible without the Hansen Family Foundation in memory of Sandy.
Thanks again to the Hansen Family Foundation for this appropriate tribute to Sandy.
Contractor, Ed Richards, is excited to see it take shape. We will post more as progress continues.
