New Trail Well on it’s Way at CALC’s Johnson Preserve

Many thanks to CALC board member, Steve Cunningham, for organizing youth volunteers from around the midwest to make great progress on a new trail at our preserve. The Cadillac News said it as well as we could, so please follow this link.

Oliver Preserve 2016 Plantings a Success

Wildflowers are sprinkling the field by the entry of CALC Oliver Preserve near Harrietta. Sumac is popping out beyond the protective plastic sleeves. Some have been browsed on by deer…perhaps by the fawn spotted on our June visit.

May 5th, CALC needs volunteers to plant shrub seedlings, along with placing tree tubes and weed barrier mats. There will be dense planting coverage for over 1.1 acres.
